As part of our second run 2022 Holiday Campaign, New Flower Coffee Company Ltd. proudly partnered with Hope for Haiti, an internationally renowned development non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Haiti. This year, similar to last, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of our premium 227g bags of roasted newly sourced Haitian coffee beans (packaged in specially crafted burlap/jute) was donated directly to the Baradères Primary School Relief Efforts.
The primary school, located in the town of Baradères in southern Haiti, was severely damaged during the devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the region in August 2021. This earthquake caused widespread destruction, leaving thousands of families displaced and children without access to education. Through this campaign, we aimed to raise critical funds by selling our coffee in support of the rebuilding of the school, which serves as a vital educational hub for the local community.
By purchasing our specially crafted coffee, our customers were able to directly contribute to the rebuilding efforts, ensuring that children in Baradères have access to a safe and supportive environment for their education. This initiative not only provided some financial aid for physical reconstruction but also sends a message of solidarity and hope to the people of Haiti as they work to recover and rebuild.
Our aim was to make a noteworthy impact on the community of Baradères, Haiti, by providing crucial support for the rebuilding of the Baradères Primary School, which was devastated by the August 2021 earthquake. Through the generosity of our customers, 100% of the proceeds from our coffee sales during the December 24th to December 31st period was stewarded towards this important cause, helping to fund the physical restoration of the school building.
In addition to the immediate impact of the reconstruction, this campaign also raised awareness about the ongoing challenges facing the people of Haiti, particularly women and children, who are disproportionately affected by such natural disasters. By collaborating with Hope for Haiti, New Flower Coffee Company was able to amplify its efforts and contribute to long-term sustainable development in the region. The campaign not only provided much-needed financial support for new infrastructure but also brought attention to the resilience and determination of the people of Baradères as they continue to rebuild their lives and communities.
